What is Magic Motorsport Korhex?
Korhex is a dedicated hardware extension for the Magic Motorsport FLEX ECU and TCU programming platform.
It has been developed to give FLEX direct access to a designated contact point on the microcontroller – the MCU – during supported advanced ECU unlocking and Boot Glitch procedures.
Traditionally, accessing some protected ECUs can involve considerably more physical preparation of the ECU circuit board. Depending on the procedure, that can mean turning or accessing both sides of the PCB, removing components such as resistors or manually connecting Boot pins.
Every additional physical operation takes time and introduces another opportunity for damage.
With Korhex, Magic Motorsport has developed a different approach.
On supported applications, a dedicated Korhex mask is positioned over the MCU and the system interacts through a specific contact point. FLEX then guides and manages the unlocking procedure. Why is Korhex such an important development for ECU tuners?
